Hi, I'm Abigail. Before becoming a therapist, I spent four years as a classroom teacher and have more than 14 years of experience working with children. My passion has always been helping others learn, grow, and reach their full potential. While I loved supporting students in the classroom, I felt called to help individuals and families on a deeper level through counseling. Today, I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, and families as they navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
Originally from Nebraska, I studied art in college in Minnesota, and creativity continues to be an important part of my life. I share my home with my cat, Calvin, and enjoy spending my free time making pottery, sewing with my vintage sewing machine, swimming, kayaking, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and reading with my sci-fi book club.
I believe that connection, curiosity, and creativity can be powerful tools for growth, both inside and outside the therapy room.
About Me
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Art and Design from Minneapolis College and a Master's in Social Work from Louisiana State University.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,

I have completed Brainspotting 1 & 2 training and Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS).

Children (7+), Teens, & Adults
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life's challenges and transitions.
My experience as a teacher has given me a unique understanding of the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns that children and teens face, while also allowing me to support parents and families through those challenges.

I believe every person deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and accepted. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where clients of all ages can explore their challenges, build on their strengths, and develop the confidence and skills needed to thrive. I use a collaborative approach that incorporates play therapy, strengths-based interventions, mindfulness, visualization, and somatic-focused techniques to meet each client's unique needs.
I especially enjoy helping children and teens express themselves through creativity and play while developing healthy coping skills and emotional resilience. I also work with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Drawing from my background as a teacher, I bring a deep understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the challenges that children and families face. Above all, I strive to help clients feel empowered, supported, and capable of creating meaningful changes in their lives.
