Specialties
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a mother of five, and an advocate for mental wellness. I became a counselor because I believe everyone deserves a place where they can feel heard, understood, and supported. I am passionate about helping people recognize their strengths, work through difficult experiences, and make meaningful changes in their lives.
I have a special interest in maternal mental health and in supporting women who are balancing caregiving, relationships, work, and their own needs. I love helping clients who feel overwhelmed or unheard build confidence, develop healthier boundaries, and reconnect with themselves.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, supporting my children’s activities, and serving through my church’s Wellness Ministry. Family, faith, and community are important parts of my life, and they shape the care and respect I bring to every client I work with.
About Me
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix, and my Master of Arts in Counselor Education from Southern University A&M College. I am currently pursuing a doctorate in Human Services with a focus on Advocacy and Prevention at Walden University.
I am a Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #7337), a National Certified Counselor (NCC 1092221), and a National Certified School Counselor. My additional training includes EMDR through the EMDR Institute.
Education & Licensure
Teens (12+) & Adults
I welcome adolescents ages 12 and older and adults seeking support with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
I have a particular passion for supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the demands of caring for a family while tending to their own needs. As a mother of five, this work is personal to me. Faith is also an important part of my own life, and if it is meaningful to you, we can incorporate it into our work in whatever way feels right for you.
Rates & Insurance
I am in network with Aetna, Anthem, BHS, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, Curative, ESI EAP, First Health, LSU First (Tier 2), Meritain Health, MultiPlan, Optum, Ulliance, UMR, and UnitedHealthcare.
If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company.
I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid plans.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your individual experiences. I take time to understand what brings you to counseling, what matters to you, and what you hope will change. Together, we develop goals that feel meaningful and manageable.
I draw from person-centered counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), when appropriate. Sessions may include exploring patterns, developing coping skills, strengthening boundaries, and practicing emotional regulation. If faith is important to you, we can incorporate it according to your preferences.
My experience includes school counseling, behavioral interventions, individual and group therapy, and clinical leadership. These roles have strengthened my understanding of how family relationships, school, work, and life circumstances affect emotional well-being
