Hi, I’m Andrea, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience as a provider and 20 years in nursing. Married for 25 years and a proud mom of three, I understand the importance of family and the value of strong connections. As an animal lover with four dogs, four cats, and a rabbit, there’s never a dull moment at home! In my free time, I enjoy walking the dogs, reading, and relaxing by the pool.
I believe in treating the whole person and am honored to walk alongside each client on their mental health journey. I believe in using medication as a tool to help reduce symptoms—but true healing goes deeper. That’s why I see therapy as an essential part of the process. My approach to care is collaborative and integrated, and I regularly coordinate with therapists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure each client receives the most comprehensive support possible.
Medication Management
I view medication as a supportive tool to help you find balance during your wellness journey. My goal is to work alongside you to find the most effective treatment plan while making sure you feel heard and supported every step of the way.
I personally monitor your progress to adjust doses and address side effects carefully. I also stay in close contact with your therapists and other healthcare providers to ensure your treatment remains unified and effective.
Education
I earned two bachelor's degrees from Louisiana State University and Our Lady of the Lake College, and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals across a wide range of levels of care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings.
