About Me
Hi, I'm John. I was born and raised in Louisiana and, after living in several different states, eventually found my way back home to the Baton Rouge area. I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring new experiences, whether that means traveling, trying local restaurants, enjoying the outdoors, or attending community events and festivals. I'm also a sports enthusiast and served in the Louisiana Army National Guard.
My path to counseling was shaped by years of working with people in a variety of settings, including higher education, K–12 education, disability services, substance use harm reduction and recovery services, sports officiating, and the airline industry. Each of these experiences reinforced my passion for helping others and strengthened the empathy, patience, and understanding that guide my work as a counselor. I believe that every person's story is unique, and I strive to provide a supportive, respectful environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

I am in network with Aetna, Anthem, BHS, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, Curative, ESI EAP, First Health, LSU First (Tier 2), Meritain Health, MultiPlan, Optum, Ulliance, UMR, and UnitedHealthcare.
If you have out of network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company.
I do not accept Medicare or Medicare plans.
